Turns out insurance is a wonderful thing. As much as it pains me to shell out a $500 deductible, having the insurance guy call and update me by adding $900 worth of damages on top of the original $850 estimate makes me thankful i don’t have to shell it all out myself. Dublin has made it very apparent he was not happy that i went away again this weekend. Hopefully a few weeks straight at home will keep him from hairballing (yes, i’m using that as a verb) any more things in my house.

thank you mr. lawnmower man. thank you for being outside my window on my vacation day at 7am. for still being outside my window at 9am (on the 4 feet of grass). and then returning to my window at 10am with a leaf blower. and thank you so much for ceasing to be outside my window when i finally gave up having a peaceful morning at 10:30am.

i think my year long exile from “civilization” has led me to become even more antisocial than normal since i’m getting annoyed at a potential saturday night out. or maybe its just the realization today of how little many of my friends know me.
